The Lions seem to be starting to get into their groove now with two good wins on the trot helping them progress into the 3rd round of the challenge cup and league cup in the past two weeks.
Today’s game against Lowdham on a wet and heavy pitch was always going to be a test but the Lions took control using the wings to get the ball out of the mud bath in the middle.
Carlton’s possession didn’t pay off in the 1st half but good play and movement from the forward line kept Lowdham busy.
In the second half, Carlton took the lead through Joshua Brown netting again. Carlton were in full control and playing some great football. Brendan O’Donnell and Ousman Popi Cham dominated the middle of the back four with a solid performance also from the keeper. A man of the match performance from captain Bailey Kilcullen .
Carlton pushed on with Joshua Brown getting his hatrick to make it 7 in 2 games. Brendan O’Donnell also netting to get himself on the scoresheet again.
Final score 4-0. Come on you Lions!
