About Top Valley
Top Valley is a largely residential area in the north west of Nottingham.
It is located to the south of Rise Park, to the north and west of Bestwood, to the south-west of Bestwood Village and to the east of Bulwell. It is approximately four miles from Nottingham City Centre.
The estate was built in the 1970s on the grounds of Top Valley Farm, Forest Farm and Home Farm.
The area has a large Tesco Supermarket and a nearby Aldi. The shopping areas of Bulwell, Hucknall and Arnold are all within commuting reach with bus services providing access to these areas
A railway line which used to run nearby but closed in the mid-1960s is now a tree-lined footpath on the western boundary of the estate
Amenities include a community centre and local leisure centres; Ken Martin Swimming Pool in Bulwell and Southglade Leisure Centre.
Local Schools are Stanstead Primary and Nursery, Rise Park Primary and Nursery and Top Valley Academy.
Top Valley enjoys a regular bus service from Nottingham City Transport with the 15, 16, 3B and 3C. Trent Barton also operate a service stopping on the outskirts of the area on Hucknall Road which provides access to the City Centre and also Mansfield.
