About Redhill
Redhill is a small community forming part of the larger town of Arnold and sits approximately 4 miles north of the city in the Gedling Borough.
It is generally accepted that Redhill takes its name from the clay-like red soil making up the hill at the centre of the community.
Amenities include Redhill Leisure Centre and Redhill Stores and a newsagent. There are also two pubs, The Ram Inn and The Waggon And Horses. Redhill also boasts a unisex hairdressing salon, two car servicing garages and a used car dealership.
Schools in Redhill are the Redhill Academy and a specialist performing arts school.
Running through Redhill is the primary road leading north out of Nottingham, now named Mansfield Road which is part of the A60. Redhill is served by Nottingham City Transport 87 bus to the city centre via Sherwood, the City Hospital and Arnold, which runs every 20 minutes during the day.
Stagecoach also offers services to Chesterfield, Mansfield, Ollerton, Worksop and Retford.
